As we move into an exciting year at North Beach RSL Sub-Branch, we’re proud to announce our upcoming calendar of events that combines both solemn commemoration and community connection.
Social Activities: Building Camaraderie and Connection
At North Beach RSL Sub-Branch, we understand that strong social bonds are the foundation of our veteran community. Our 2025 social calendar is designed to create opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and shared experiences:
Tour of Duty – Adelaide Adventure – March 17-23
Members of our Sub-Branch have booked for a week-long journey to Adelaide, where they’ll explore South Australia’s rich military heritage and cultural landmarks. This seven-day tour offers the members on this tour a unique opportunity to connect with fellow veterans while discovering Adelaide’s significant military sites and attractions.
Barefoot Bowls Evening – March 14
Kick off your shoes and join us for a relaxed evening of barefoot bowls at North Beach Bowling Club. Starting at 4:30 PM, this casual event welcomes members and their partners for an hour of friendly competition, followed by optional drinks and dinner. No experience necessary – just bring your smile and competitive spirit!
Post-bowling drinks and dinner available at members’ own expense.
Maritime Heritage Tour – May 21
Planned Date: Tuesday, May 21, 2025
Departure: 9:00 AM from Hillarys
Cost: $20 per person (includes bus transportation and museum entry)
Lunch: E Shed Markets (at own expense)
This engaging tour will be led by the museum’s volunteer guides, offering unique insights into WA’s maritime history. Please note: Final confirmation of this tour will be announced in early May, pending volunteer guide availability. We encourage interested members to register their interest with the Social Committee, and we will confirm all bookings once the tour guides are secured.
Looking Ahead
Our calendar continues to grow with planned visits to the Army Museum in August and a spring expedition to Rottnest Island. These events offer perfect opportunities to strengthen friendships while exploring some of Perth’s most significant historical and natural landmarks.
Pricing for these events will be announced closer to the dates. Members will be notified of costs and booking requirements well in advance.
ANZAC Day 2025 – Lest We Forget
The dawn of April 25th holds special significance for all Australians, and here at North Beach RSL, we continue our proud tradition of honouring those who served.
