The latest edition of RSLWA’s Sub-Branch Signal for March 2025 has been released, bringing important updates and news directly from State Branch. This month’s issue highlights key activities, upcoming events, and important announcements relevant to our veteran community.

President’s Message

The RSLWA President has expressed appreciation for the ongoing preparations and efforts towards ANZAC Day commemorations statewide. Special thanks were extended to Sub-Branches, including North Beach, for their continued dedication to supporting veterans and their families.

Board Meeting Update

The recent RSLWA Board meeting was hosted by the Albany RSL Sub-Branch, where strategic planning and improvements to member management were key discussion points. Issues such as cybersecurity upgrades and membership renewal challenges were highlighted, with solutions actively being implemented.

Veterans Motorcycle Club (VMC) Legal Update

The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of RSLWA regarding the Veterans Motorcycle Club’s unauthorized occupation of premises, declaring their presence as trespassing. RSLWA is thoughtfully reviewing next steps to resolve the situation responsibly.

ANZAC Day and Membership Renewals

Preparations are well underway for this year’s ANZAC Day services, and members are encouraged to actively participate. Additionally, the deadline for membership renewals is March 31, 2025. Members experiencing difficulties are reminded that RSLWA is addressing system challenges by developing an improved membership platform.

State Congress

Mark your calendars—the 109th State Congress and Annual General Meeting will be held on June 13-14, 2025, at Anzac House. This event offers a valuable opportunity for Sub-Branches to engage in important discussions and celebrate achievements within our RSL community.
