North Beach RSL Sub-Branch was the recipient of a Stronger Communities Grant, and part of that was for the purchase Kayaks to support Peer Health and member wellbeing.
The kayaks have been purchased and were delivered Friday 5 August 2022 to our storage area within the Hillarys Yacht Club. The new kayaks are very sturdy, have back rests, a fishing rod holder for the more adventuress, good quality life jackets and of course paddles.
A part of our commitment to support community based organisations that we have had a relationship with for some time, we have donated our older kayaks to TS Marmion Sea Cadets. They have been borrowing our kayaks for their annual camp and were very pleased with our donation.
The official handover to T S Marmion was held on Sunday 14 August 2022 at 10:00am. This was well attended by members of our Sub-Branch and the cadets.
